Our story

A jewel of South-East England

Shampan began as a single restaurant in Chatterton Village, Bromley. From day one it was clear something special was happening; locals returned week after week, and word travelled. Two more restaurants followed, in Welling and in historic Westerham, each with its own character but united by the same ambition: traditional Indian cooking, rendered with contemporary craft, and served with warmth.

We work closely with our chefs, source generously and keep the menu deceptively simple. Whether you are a spice connoisseur or completely new to Indian cooking, you will find a dish on our menu that feels as if it was made for you.

Our restaurants have been recognised by Harden's, the Evening Standard and the Asian Curry Awards. The award we value most is the regular return of a guest who first came as a stranger.
